Sunny's Brother, Cosmo
When Terri Parker called me about Sunny and his litter sister, Allegra, she also asked me if I knew anyone who would like to have their "pet" brother, Cosmo. I told her I would ask my good friend, Tracy Ward, Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions, if she would rescue a Saluki and Tracy's answer was a resounding "YES!" I put Tracy and Terri in touch and, as they say, the rest is history. Thanks to Terri Parker, Cosmo went to Gentle Giants and is Tracy's first Saluki. After Cosmo, Gentle Giants has rescued many Salukis, but he was, thanks to Terri Parker, the first purebred Saluki to be rescued by Gentle Giants! For some reason, Terri has denied to this day that she sent Cosmo to Gentle Giants, letting people believe that I sent him there. I had nothing to do with it other than putting Terri in touch with Gentle Giants. Tracy and Burt Ward have a spectacular facility in Norco, California. I was lucky enough to visit.

Cosmo is a young cream gold Saluki male who came here (Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoption, Norco, California) from across the U.S. (Texas) from his breeder (Terri Parker, Karista Salukis) because he accidentally injured his tail on a tree at his breeder's and she thought his tail might be too short for him to be shown. Strangely enough, Cosmo has the most gorgeous tail that we have ever seen on a Saluki. It forms the entire crest and stays that way whether up or relaxed. Like most Salukis, when Cosmo runs, he looks like he is flying. But, Cosmo flies higher and more beautifully than anyone or anything we have every seen. Salukis run a bit differently than the average dog. They take a few strides and then leap into the air. They almost look like a deer in flight. When all of our Salukis run together or in the midst of the others, it is a breathtakingly beautiful sight to see!!!! Cosmo is amazing to watch and he is so loving and sweet and affectionate. He is always ready to hug and give the sweetest and most sensitive kisses! He is looking for the best home on earth to love and adore him for life!!! All dogs are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, de-wormed, and are treated with Advantix for fleas and ticks. They are also micro-chipped.
Cosmo is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
