Alegria story

Alegria was born on March 22, 2006 and came to Shefaro on June 4, 2006 directly from Chazmere Salukis in Oklahoma, not from Srinagar in California for whom I have the greatest respect and admiration. Although her breeding is Srinagar, she did not come from Srinagar. She arrived at the San Antonio airport from Oklahoma City at 910PM in deplorable condition with a cut across the top of her muzzle, dewclaws (sold as a show girl), and arrived at the airport in a filthy, duct taped, chewed up old crate with a door that fell off when I got her out at the airport (complaint filed with the airlines). She had no muscle or conditioning, an easty westy front, cowhocked rear, a wormy belly, and I was told to keep her inside and have her potty on newspapers in the house. I paid $1000 for a SHOW puppy and her dewclaws were not removed. After her cobreeder took my money, she announced to me that she was going to coown, so I told her I don't coown and to please send back my $1000 plus shipping. She said she wouldn't coown and sent Alegria to me. I received Alegria's registration in SOLE ownership about a week later with no refund for the new crate I had paid for (I hadn't asked for it, she offered it). I registered Alegria IMMEDIATELY because I had a feeling her breeder would try to pull something - and she did. She filed a complaint with AKC that I registered Alegria in SOLE ownership even though she was a coowner. The papers were sent in sole ownership. She also told AKC that her husband sent the papers off before she had a chance to sign on as coowner. Alegria's breeder is a teenager with no husband. AKC registered her to me in sole ownership and didn't entertain the bogus complaint.

Alegria's cobreeder advertised on her webpage that she only breeds one or two litters a year, but she now has TWO litters out of Alegria's dam, Ivory, in the same year, one litter born March 2006, the second born September 2006. I believe she means she breeds TWICE A YEAR not once every two years.
Please look below for supporting pictures and documents. There will be more. Pictures are worth thousands of words.
Here is the crate:
It was a chewed up old piece of junk crate which was as filthy inside as it was trashed outside. Keep in mind that I sent money for a new crate, but according to the cobreeder, there wasn't a new crate to be found in all of Oklahoma City! I guess all the Walmarts, Petsmarts, Petcos, Tractor Supply, Target Stores, etc. were closed. Quite a disgusting way to ship a precious little princess Saluki girl to her new home or any place else for that matter.

Dear Sherry,
Let me began with an apology for the crate that we allowed your animal
to be shipped in. The picture of the crate does not comply with our
requirements and should have not been accepted for carriage.
Please be advised that this matter will be addressed with the General
Manager of Oklahoma to prevent future occurrences of this nature.
I am glad to hear that your pet arrived safely. We do appreciate your
business as we know that our customer have a choice when choosing an
airline to ship their most precious commodity. It is my sincerest hopes
that you will allow us another opportunity to serve you in the manner
you both expect and deserve.
Sincerely
Regina Batiste

Here is Alegria's muzzle when she was sent to me. It took quite some time rubbing in A&D Ointment for it to finally clear up.
She was like a deer in the headlights having had no socialization or outside time before she got to Shefaro. She was raised in the house on newspapers. Her dewclaws were not removed and I didn't have them removed. That would have been major surgery at her age.
She was completely lacking muscle development and you can see her wormy belly which changed dramatically over time because she was wormed and put on heartworm prevention and allowed to run free in my pasture and develop like a normal sighthound puppy should.
Her front was easty westy (turned out). Her rear was cowhocked.
Her cobreeder's kennel name Chazmere was not added to Alegria's registered name because I felt that would have honored a dishonorable person. Putting two Srinagar Salukis together in a back yard does not make one a breeder. If Alegria had come to me like the Saluki Princess she is, I would have included Chazmere in her registered name. However, since she was relegated to junkyard dog status by Chazmere, I didn't. AKC allows owners to choose the name when registering their dogs. Alegria is Srinagar on both sides of her pedigree and so she carries the registered name Shefaro's Srinagar Alegria. Shefaro is her prefix because she is my foundation. I MAY never breed a Saluki litter, but I wanted the option.
I received Alegria's registration in SOLE ownership signed off by both cobreeders dated June 5, 2006...
...but on June 23, 2006, the first cobreeder tried to change that by filing a bogus complaint with AKC stating that her husband (as far as I know, she's 19 and not married) sent the papers off before she had a chance to sign on as coowner in spite of the clearly signed and dated Dog Registration Application transferring Alegria to me in SOLE ownership which is what she sent to me and I sent to the AKC.
AKC registered Alegria to me in sole ownership per the actual and correct sole ownership Dog Registration Application and didn't entertain the bogus complaint.
The lies never end and pictures are worth ten thousand words.

She's a bad woman, as I know first hand. I sold her a bitch pup, on co-ownership and she registerd her online in full ownership!. The pup arrived in great condition, as all my pups do, as my pups are checked by a vet 2 days (if not the day) they are to be shipped to thier new homes. Anyways, after I filed a complaint with the AKC about her, she started posting all kinds of BS about her crate, how she arrived and so forth. She did give me refrences from her vet and other borzoi poeple and they had nothing but good things to say about her. Boy was I fooled!. I have also run into her handler a few times at TX shows and she seems like a nice lady(why she deals with her I don't know) I have also seen the pup I sold her too, last time I saw her she was in great condition and looked in great spirits.
I still regret selling her though, but sadly its something I can't do anything about.
